The following is a note Elder Mortensen sent to a couple of our friends this week.
Just thinking of you. We are doing just fine and are enjoying our time
Here in Jamaica. Hope all of your family is well. We have been blessed so much
As you well know having served so well yourselves back in the singles branch days.
Some days we think we may do like you and just move over here and some days
We wonder if we will make it through the week. We haven't seen a lot of success yet
But we are getting busier all the time. We are getting around pretty good. It took a little time just learning to find the members and drive on these roads. We go out a lot with the relief society
President both in Linstead and Spanish Town branches..they need our wheels and we need their knowledge . Hardly any members here have a car. Many live in very humble conditions. But they are a very beautiful and happy people for the most part. The biggest problem is finding covenant keeping husbands. Without them the church can't grow. I am teaching the prospective elders class in Linstead for the second time. The first class had 6 with 3 receiving the priesthood . The other three are working with the branch president and I hope will also progress. My new class has 4. Sister Mortensen is amazing. She is doing something for someone all the time. Her knowledge of genealogy and her brownies keep her busy( she is making some right now) we have a branch activity in the morning in Linstead then to a Relief Society meeting in Spanish Town then we are working on a tower for Scouts in Linstead then a baptism in Linstead at 6 . Sunday will be sacrament meeting in Spanish Town then back to Linstead for my priesthood

Tell everyone in the quorum hello and get ready to come on a mission . The cold showers are just fine.
