This is a picture of Elder Mortensen and Brother Muchette who is the Young Men's President. They are working on building a tower out of bamboo. It is a project that the young men and going to finish at mutual.
Here is a picture of our lunch. We got this at a little cook shack that is right next door to our house. What you see is barbeque chicken with rice and peas. It is one of the main foods that they eat here.
This is a picture of me (Carlene) and Sister Sadie Graham. When we first visited her with the Sister Missionaries she was inactive. We had a good visit and the Sisters continued visiting her. Now she is at church every Sunday and is actually going out teaching with us. She bears a strong testimony and helps all the people she visits. She is always taking care of me. When we cross a street she makes sure I get across safely.
This has been such a good week. We have visited many of the inactives and had great lessons with them. One of the families we have been working with is the McLeans. He used to be branch president here in the 1980's. Something happened and they quit coming to church. We have visited with them several times but this week they asked us to come over and visit with their son Jesse who just turned 19. It was a great visit. Brother McLean is very well read concerning the gospel. Yesterday they all came to church. It was great.
After church they asked us to come over last night and visit some more. They had a great time at church. Brother McLean talked about several things that had impressed him about the meetings.
