Elder and
Sister Mortensen
Jamaica has
NOT MUCH producing topsoil but has PLENTY of mountains, beaches, rain, green foliage,
banana trees, coconut trees and sugar cane.
Jamaica has
NOT MUCH good asphalt but has PLENTY of
potholes, people walking on the roads, taxis with red license plates and rocks.
Jamaica has
NOT MUCH good angus cows or a steak worth eating but has PLENTY of chickens,
goats, mongoose, skinny dogs, ants and mosquitos.
Jamaica has
NOT MUCH finished homes with welcoming open yards but has PLENTY of partially
finished houses with people living in part of it, all with fences with locked
gates. Most of them protected by skinny pit bulls.
Jamaica has NOT
MUCH middle class of people but has PLENTY of extremely loud music, siblings
with different last names, fast talking politicians, herds of uniformed school
kids and 50% unemployment.
What Jamaica
needs the most is COMMANDMENT KEEPERS so the Lord can prosper this people. They
especially need HUSBANDS who will reside in the home, protect and provide for
their families.
They all
need to have faith, repent, be baptized, receive and follow the Holy Ghost,
work hard and endure to the end. They need to make and keep SACRED COVENANTS
and the Lord will transform this place. It will become an island of hope,
prosperity and home to one of the most beautiful TEMPLES because of the natural
beauty of the island and its people.

Wow!! Remember to speak boldly, What Jamaica needs is a missionary couple like you! Love You!!
Hi Chief and Carlene, this is Anna Patterson. Jamaica sounds like a great place to help people grow in the gospel. I really liked your phrase "commandment keepers" and I'm going to start using it with my kids! We all love and miss y'all and pray for your safety and success! Just the other day we drove by Hobby Lobby and Luke asked to go to Chief's and Olivia said, "No Luke they're still on their mission!". Your service is a great example to spencer and I and our children. We love y'all!
