We have been real busy (which is a good thing). We survived the hurricane, but had no water and electricity for about a week. We are just now getting back to normal. We spent some time seeing about the members of the branch. We went out yesterday with the relief society president and figured up how many sheets of zinc (corrugated tin) several homes needed to fix their roof because of the damage from the hurricane. We went out last night and had a hot dog cookout with a young couple that have 2 little girls. He is an inactive member and she is a non member but wants to get married and be baptized. Jamaica is full of this same scenario. At least he is working to bring home a paycheck and trying to support them, but isn't "quite ready" to get married.
We are fixing up a paper with a picture of a family and home on one side and the world on the other side. We are going to cut it up and make it into a puzzle. If you put the family and home together and tape it together and turn it over the world is in order. We got the idea from a talk on Sunday from a Jamaica man and thought it was good.
This Saturday we are building a tower like King Benjamin had with the boys at mutual. They don't have Boy Scouts as part of the Young Men program. (At least until we got here) They are learning their lashings and there is plenty of bamboo around. I'll post a picture when we get it built.
We have been working with the Linstead branch and are going to start working part time with the Spanish Town 1 Branch this Sunday. Other than that we are just taking it easy, and loving living

ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE!
