The whole island is mountains. We are still staying at the mission home. We got our house/apt today. They are delivering the furniture tomorrow. We got to go with Sister Hendricks today and pick out furniture. We will be the only couple in Linstead. Therefore we get all new furniture. The only bad thing is we have only cold water. So all showers for the next year will be cold ones. They have a branch there and another branch in Spanish Town that we will be working with. First the Linstead Branch. They are the closet to becoming a ward. Then later we will begin working with Spanish Town and helping them become a ward.
The people here are nice and friendly, all except the ones wanting to wash your windows at every stoplight. If you ignore them they bang on your window and if you continue to ignore them they bang harder. I thought they were going to break the window. President Hendricks just rolls down the window and loudly says "Why do you disrespect me? Whose car is this mine or yours? Why are you touching my car. Get away. I haven't gotten that brave yet.
Dad has been driving today and doing well. The steering wheel is on the wrong or right side of the car. It is a challenge to turn right cause you really have to watch both way. The roads are horrible. Potholes everywhere and none of the roads have names. Or if they do they don't put the names on the streets so you have to learn to navigate by landmarks or buildings.
I'm including a couple of pictures. One is our bedroom at the mission home and the other is a picture of our town Linstead.

Wow, what an adventure you guys are having,I love the pics, Dad looks good as a missionary, the name tag suits him, can't wait to see and hear more, love you!:-)
How fun. I bet the culture shock is pretty intense. How's the heat? Those cold showers might not bee too bad when it's hot. We love you, pray for you daily, and are excited to hear more about your experiences!
